Training Center

In the Fall of 2007, we began with some new programs and course offerings which will allow our members to pursue the Technical Studies Associates Degree Program offered in association with Camden, Cumberland, and Gloucester County Community Colleges. Local 322 members will be able to receive up to 30 credits for their completed apprenticeship. Please contact the Training Center for more information. New members can also earn credits by passing the UA Star exams.

Certification is the wave of the future in the piping industry. With increasingly complex and challenging work that must be done by the modern pipe mechanic, it is almost required that a journey worker obtain official validation of their skills.

Think of time, energy and commitment as resources. These themes reflect the goal of our journeyworker training program with their accomplishments rewarded by greater opportunities. The advantage of a highly skilled work force that is more sensitive to product quality, customer service and satisfaction, fewer errors, higher productivity and greater competitiveness.

As the technology of our industry advances, the Joint Apprentice and Journey Worker Training Committees of Local Union 322 will continue to make the necessary curriculum changes to satisfy the training needs of our members, providing them with the skills and opportunity to remain competitive in today’s and tomorrow's job market, as well as ensuring the health and safety of the public. At the same time, our dedication to keeping our skills current ensures the contractors we work for that they always have the most highly skilled Journeyworkers available to draw on in any aspect of the plumbing and pipefitting industry.
