Offering a course in AutoCAD and pipe drafting, the Training Center prepares members for positions as CAD operators. Combined with the member's hands-on knowledge of the trade, its an impossible combination to beat. UA members bring to the drawing table their ability to foresee installation problems and can remove these types of job-stalling interferences while the project is still in the planning stage. Coordinated shop drawings that are truly usable by your field personnel are the result, reducing the number of lost man-hours waiting for clarifications or field change approvals from your home office, the GC, or an architects or engineers design team. Local 322 currently has a number of members working for area contractors as CAD operators.
