UA members receive instruction during their apprenticeship on instrumentation and 
controls used in the industry.
 
Advanced instruction leading to 
UA/IBEW Instrument Technician certification
is also available in 
our evening school.

Students learn how to install, setup, troubleshoot and tune control loops, calibrate various loop instruments & devices, and read instrument drawings.

Hands-on training is held in classrooms such as the one pictured here. Basic electronics, electrical and pneumatic principals and theories as related to instrumentation are also part of the course.
